Full Service Funeral – 1 Visitation
Professional Services
A licensed funeral director co-ordinates and supervises the funeral arrangements with the family, clergy, newspaper/radio, church, cemetery, crematorium, hospital or nursing home, florist, organist, hair-dresser if necessary, medical practitioner and/or coroner. Other funeral directors are available to help, direct and conduct the funeral service. Additional staff services provided: secretarial, accounting, maintenance.
Documentation
Obtaining, completing and filing all documents required by municipal and provincial
legislation including payment of any regulatory fees.
Embalming
Embalming and other preparation of the body.
Facilities & Equipment for visitation, services in a church or our chapel and use of general service vehicle
Included is the use of all our facilities and equipment: parking lot; arrangement offices; selection room; visitation room; register stand; casket bier; flower and donation stands and religious equipment. Also included is the use of our chapel; equipment and vehicles to move to a church; use of a general service vehicle for errands; transportation for clergy to funeral home; cemetery and return; the leading of the funeral procession. Provided also is a vehicle for delivery of flowers to church, cemetery and other requested destinations. Also included are all office stationary and supplies, Family Information Package, proof of death certificates, completed register book and thank you cards.
Transfer to Funeral Home From Place of Death
The use of a vehicle and equipment for the transfer of the deceased from the place of
death to the funeral home. NOTE: This charge applies within the region of Elgin -
Middlesex. Mileage outside of the region will be charged at $1.25/km one way.
Automotive Requirements
Use of a funeral coach, lead car, or service for the transfer of the casket from funeral home to church and/or place of burial or cremation.
